Rachel and Joshua Stringer

BIOGRAPHY:

Age: Rachel is  28 years of age / Joshua is 12 months of age

Residence: Worcester

Occupation: Rachel is employed as a  nurse auxiliary for the Gloucestershire NHS. She took 9 months maternity leave after delivering Josh. Rachel went back to work part time working a 3 day work week.

BREASTFEEDING STATICS:

When did you begin breastfeeding? Rachel started breastfeeding Josh from the time he was 6 days old. Prior to this point Joshua spent the first five days of his life in intensive care and Rachel expressed her breast milk. When Joshua was 6 days old he was strong enough to latch on  but spent the following days building up his strength to have a full feed.

For how long have you been breastfeeding? Rachel and Joshua have persevered and Josh has been breastfeeding  for 12 months now.

When do you expect to feed until? Rachel plans to fed Josh until he doesn’t want it to breastfeed anymore. Her older son Tommie was breastfed until a week after his birthday–he then decided he would rather have cows milk.
